I was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Eugenia Davis and Willie Townsend Sr. . I'm the second oldest of 7 children. My mother  went to be with the Lord 2 years ago and my dad is still alive and kicking. Three of my siblings live in KC, 1 sister lives in Denver , 1 brother lives in the land down under and 1 sister died at age 15.
I attended  Westport High School and that's where I met my husband Cortez. We were married in 1979 and have been happily married ever since. Both Cortez and I became Christians in high school.  Cortez joined the Air Force in 1979 and that's when life became real interesting. We've moved and moved and moved, but it was great. From Nebraska to the Philippine Islands, the Lord has taught us how to trust Him and love one another.
I'm basically a woman who loves her family, friends and most of all the LORD & Cortez. It is my desire to reach souls for Christ with my  writing and my life. If I can do that then my living has not been in vain.

I'm 46!  Four years from 50, but I feel good.  My good genes seem to be holding, still no wrinkles and few gray hairs. Menopause is a hoot, hot flashes, cranky, forgetful and just downright nuts. Like I said its a hoot!  My health in general is better than its been in years. I still have some days that I wish I stayed in bed, but God gives me strength and grace to endure them. Cortez and I went on vacation to Georgia, Chicago and St. Louis. He drove while I talked...and talked, and talked. We had a great time and I was very impressed at God's creation. Georgia was a beautiful humid place and seeing our relatives and partaking of their gracious southern hospitality was wonderful. Chicago was busy, but seeing family slowed things down pleasurably. In St. Louis we saw our daughter and grandson, it was so good. I'm glad to be home and now we both need a vactation just to recuperate from the other vacation!!! I feel like Dorothy, "There's no place like home!"

I am a Kansas City Chief's fan and yes we are going to the Super Bowl!!!! You may think I'm crazy, but I don't so there!! I love basketball and my son, Cortez is one of the best basketball players I've ever seen (for real). I can't play roundball anymore, but still enjoy shooting it.
My hobby is my life because I enjoy it so much. Cortez and I go on dates at least once a week . I love hanging with my children. I bet you're wondering what their names are. Okay, I'll tell you.
1. Janiece Raul Robinson aka Niece (spouse & children: Dale, Christyan & Bishop)
2. Shakeena Rochelle Townsend (aka Keena)
3. Johnita Raul Harris aka Nita & Big Lots (spouse & children: Jerome, Elijah & Isaiah)
4. Jazzlyn Raul Sebelski aka Jazz (spouse & children: Chris, Christoper, *Nicholas & Ethan)
5. Joc-Leen Raul Null aka Joc (spouse & son: Sean, *Sean Jr.)
6. Cortez raul Strickland Jr. aka Bart
7. Jentale Praise Strickland  aka Pud
The * indicates that the child has gone to be with the Lord. Nicholas also called Fatfat died 2 years ago at the age of 6 months of SIDS. Sean Jr. died 1 1/2 years ago, he was born prematurely weighing less than a pound.
These are my treasures, my hobby!!!!!
I  now have 2 new grandchildren: Micah Cortez Harris (Jerome & Johnita parents): Spirit Jazzlyn Robinson (Dale & Janiece parents)
I feel so very blessed!!!
